The advent calendar12 november 2015
In order to prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus, the Guidelines suggests to make an advent calendar...
Each day, in addition to the little window to open, it suggests a reflection, a prayer or a gesture.
- The first week will be focused on asking for forgiveness.
- The second will be focused on prayer.
- The third will be focused on proclaiming the Good News.
During the fourth and final week, we will be celebrating the joy of the Lord's coming.
We will put the Advent calendar in a clearly visible place at home and, each day, we will take a few moments to reflect and pray as we read the daily reflection or do the suggested activity. After opening that day’s little window, we can colour in the drawing. Once Jesus is born, we will have a beautiful tree that will remind us of how we have prepared our hearts for his coming.
Download the Advent calendar and pictures, save them on your computer. Print the two sheets on a A3 cardboard, cut the windows on three sides and carefully paste the two sheets one over the other.
Have a beautiful journey toward Christmas!
