Pilgrimage in Romania23 july 2011
The candle of the 40th anniversary was relit last Thursday in Lourdes. It burns for the duration of the pilgrimages wherever they are around the world. From July 21st to 24th, it accompanied the 260 pilgrims from the three countries of the Danube province (Hungary, Romania, Serbia) and of South Poland (a delegation of about twenty people).
The first day was spent in the sanctuary situated on the hill above Sumuleu Ciuc, by autumn weather... But fortunately, the good weather was back just on time for the celebration of a beautiful mass. Sumuleu Ciuc is a famous place of pilgrimage in Transylvania, especially at the time of Pentecost, where tens of thousands of people come on pilgrimage.
