Jubilee of the persons with disabilities at the Sacré-Coeur in Paris17 november 2016
Great moment of joy and peace, for a thousand of participants! With the Faith and Light movement, l'OCH and l'Arche.
After the testimony of Tim Guénard, everyone, whatever his handicap or his fragility, was able to live an approach of the jubilee in six stages before passing the Holy Door. The Mass, presided by Bishop Thibault Verny, Auxiliary Bishop, was followed by a jubilatory praise and a snack in the garden of the basilica.
People with disabilities are a wealth for our Church! 80 of them (deaf or blind, with an intellectual of physical disability, polyhandicaped...) - including members of Faith and Light - were involved in the animation of this Jubilee, whether for the reception, the animation of the songs, The evangelical mime, the readings or the service of the altar.
Persons with disabilities, their families, friends, parishes, specialized catechesis, pastoral care for the persons with disabilities and all the movements, establishments and associations were invited.
